చిన్నపిల్లలకి The Truman Show సినిమా చూపించటం వల్ల వచ్చే సైడ్ ఎఫెక్ట్స్. ఇందాక చిన్నోడు నాతో:
Meher Jr.: Dad... I am starting to feel like it's all a show...
Me: What is?
Meher Jr.: This life... It doesn't feel real. Just like in the movie. Maybe everybody's acting a role infront of me.
Me: Everybody?
Meher Jr: Yeah, maybe they are not the real teachers at the school, maybe you are not my real father.
Me: You think somebody put me here to act as a father to you?
Meher Jr: (కాసేపు ఆలోచించి) Maybe not you. It would be too much work for you right, to act these many years? And all those old photos of us? I think you are my real father.
Me: How can you be so sure? Maybe I've been on the show since the day you were born, just like in the movie?
Meher Jr.: But why would you guys spend so much money on me?
Me: The showrunners give us the money.
Meher Jr.: Yeah... Come to think of it... you never once took me to your office. What's with that? I think there isn't any office out there at all. You and mom just go out and meet the showrunners and take notes or something.
Me: That's what we do.
Meher Jr: But you've just told me the truth?
Me: Yeah, but I have this device with me. Once I use it on you, you will forget that we ever had this conversation.
Meher Jr: Really? Show me!
(And I hold his head with one hand, and with the other I pull up my smartphone and use the torch to flash his eyes.)
Meher Jr.: (Opens his eyes, with all the drama in the world...) Where am I? How am I here?
(After the act is over, he goes back to listening to Badass Maa from Leo)
Meanwhile Me to Myself: I think I should put off showing him The Matrix for a while.
